Beschreibung
Die Glendronach Boynsmill House Edition wurde anlässlich des 200-jährigen Jubiläums der traditionsreichen Highland-Destillerie geschaffen. Der 14 Jahre alte Single Malt ist eine Hommage an Gründer James Allardice und die legendären Feste im Boynsmill House, bei denen erlesene Weine eine besondere Rolle spielten. Für diese limitierte Jubiläumsabfüllung kombinierte Master Blenderin Dr. Rachel Barrie die für Glendronach charakteristischen Oloroso- und Pedro-Ximénez-Sherryfässer mit einer kleinen Auswahl ehemaliger Claret-Rotweinfässer. Diese verleihen dem kraftvollen Destillat zusätzliche Tiefe und fruchtige Akzente.
Im Glas zeigt sich der Whisky in sattem Kupfer. In der Nase verbindet sich eine elegante Vielfalt aus Früchten und Nüssen mit süßem Toffee, saftigen Brombeeren und reifem Steinobst. Haselnüsse und Rosinen ergänzen das vielschichtige Aroma. Am Gaumen trifft vollmundiges Malz auf getrocknete Früchte und feine Nussnoten, bevor weiche Schokolade und zartes Karamell die Komposition harmonisch abrunden. Eine ausdrucksstarke Jubiläumsedition, die den traditionsreichen Sherryfass-Stil von Glendronach mit ausgewählten Rotweinfässern verbindet.
