Cask Maturation and Origin
It is a precise snapshot of a maturation process that was perfected under the expert supervision of Billy Walker in a single cask and now captures the essence of a special moment. The art of cask selection in Speyside In the heart of Speyside, this GlenAllachie matured for eleven years in a hand-selected PX Sherry Hogshead with the number 9322, starting on July 23, 2013. Unadulterated, without chill-filtration, and bottled at a natural cask strength of 60.6% Vol., the distillate retains the full power and aromatic density of its eleven-year resting period in sherry wood.
Aromatics
A mosaic of dark fruits and noble cocoa The intense mahogany color already hints at the aromatic depth, which announces itself on the nose with notes of baked orange, mocha, and heather honey. On the palate, a viscous, almost syrupy texture, reminiscent of blackberry syrup and treacle tart, appears before spicy blood orange and crystallized ginger provide elegant complexity.
