Glen Grant from a First Fill Sherry Cask
In this 14-year-old single malt from the Scottish Speyside, sherry cask maturation combines with fruity and spicy aromas. Distilled in 2011, this Glen Grant was bottled in 2026 for the Connoisseurs Choice series. A total of 263 bottles were produced from cask number #11990.
Maturation took place in a first fill sherry cask. The whisky was bottled at cask strength of 57.1% ABV, without coloring and without chill filtration. It shows a honey hue in the glass; its profile is non-peated.
Fruit, honey, and spices
- Nose: Blackcurrant and dried apple, complemented by heather honey.
- Palate: Fruit cake and the tart fruitiness of Seville orange meet ginger and clove.
- Finish: Long-lasting with dark forest fruits.
A few drops of water offer the opportunity to adjust the drinking strength to personal taste.
