Sechs Jahre im Pedro-Ximénez-Sherryfass
Dieser Highland Single Malt aus der Edradour Distillery wurde 2020 destilliert und 2026 nach sechs Jahren Reifung abgefüllt. Seine Lagerung erfolgte in einem First Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead mit der Fassnummer 36. Das einzelne Fass ergab 313 Flaschen, abgefüllt in Fassstärke mit 59,7% vol.
Der Whisky zeigt eine mahagonifarbene Tönung und verbindet dunkle Fruchtaromen mit malzigen Noten und Eichenholz. Er ist weder kühlfiltriert noch mit Farbstoff versetzt.
Aromen und Geschmack
- Nase: Rosinen und Pflaumen, begleitet von Eichenholz und einer feinen Würze.
- Gaumen: Vollmundig mit sirupartiger Textur, Trockenfrüchten und ausgeprägten Malznoten.
- Nachklang: Langanhaltend mit Sherryaromen.
