50 Years in a Hogshead
This Single Grain from the Cameronbridge distillery in the Scottish Lowlands was distilled on April 7, 1976, and bottled in 2026 after 50 years of maturation. It spent its entire aging period in hogshead cask number 900010. The single cask yielded 243 bottles.
This edition is part of the Cask Strength Collection and was created to mark the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. It has an alcohol content of 47.1% ABV and was bottled without artificial coloring or chill-filtration. The 0.7-liter bottle comes in a black metal tin.
Aromas and Flavor
The amber-colored, non-peated whisky combines sweet aromas with the spicy influence of long cask maturation.
- Nose: Vanilla, creamy caramel, and honey meet the spice of old oak.
- Palate: Ripe fruits accompany malty wheat notes.
- Finish: Long-lasting with a fine oak spice.
The bottling is produced by independent bottler Signatory Vintage.
