Charakter und Herstellung
Nach einer langjährigen Grundreifung erhielt das Destillat eine Veredelung, die weit über das übliche Maß hinausgeht: Ganze 61 Monate verbrachte der Single Malt in einem Refill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead. Ein Zusammenspiel von dunkler Frucht und würziger Tiefe Das Auge erblickt einen satten Mahagoni-Farbton, der die Intensität der Sherry-Einflüsse bereits optisch ankündigt. Wichtige Eckdaten: 18 Jahre, destilliert 07.09.2007, abgefüllt 2026, 56,8% Vol. Die Abfüllung stammt von James Eadie.
Einordnung
Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Whisky kraftvoll in seiner natürlichen Fassstärke von 56,8 % vol., wobei eine ausgewogene Kombination aus dunkler Schokolade, würzigem Fruchtmalz und einer dezenten Nussigkeit den Ton angibt.
