Bladnoch Master Distiller's Collection The Wave I
We are delighted to introduce The Wave, another series in the Master Distiller's Collection. This series demonstrates the marriage process of whisky casks, with each annual release highlighting one of the five fundamental pillars of whisky making used by Dr. Nick Savage.
The first whisky in the series focuses on time and maturation, showcasing Bladnoch's method of selecting casks at the optimal point in the maturation process to achieve the best possible flavor. For this inaugural release, a 1,500-liter Amontillado sherry tun was filled with Bladnoch whiskies from the distillery's extensive stock, all matured in ex-bourbon casks, and combined with the fifth and final release in the Waterfall series. The number of bottles is limited to 1,817, a nod to the distillery's founding year.
