Ten Years of Bimber from London
For the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import comes a single malt that represents a premiere for Bimber: For the first time, a bottling from the London distillery reaches an age of ten years. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026, the whisky comes from ex-bourbon cask #74. This single cask bottling consists of 251 bottles.
Production and Maturation
The foundation is made exclusively from English barley. A seven-day fermentation in open wooden washbacks is followed by distillation in direct-fired copper pot stills. During the ten-year maturation period in an American oak cask, the whisky develops its amber hue. It is bottled at 57.0% ABV at cask strength, without coloring and without chill filtration.
Fruit, Malt, and Oak Spice
- Nose: Cherry defines the aroma, accompanied by honey sweetness and vanilla.
- Taste: A full-bodied mouthfeel combines with juicy cherry fruit, mild malt, and caramel notes.
- Finish: Restrained oak spice provides a balanced conclusion.
The anniversary edition is offered in a 0.7-liter bottle with a cylindrical gift box. Black and gold dominate the design.
