This Single Malt is a clear recommendation for connoisseurs who appreciate the unadulterated power of a single cask whisky without chill-filtration. The Aberlour distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
The label in a classic woodcut style and the clear bottle emphasize the transparency and craftsmanship ethos of this limited edition of only 621 bottles. It best unfolds its full aromatic depth neat at room temperature, while the high cask strength also allows for a few drops of water to release further nuances.
Aromatics
A honey-colored interplay of dried fruit and spice. In the glass, the whisky presents itself in a warm honey tone, entirely without the use of coloring agents. On the nose, dense, intense sherry notes unfold, carried by dark dried fruits and a fine maltiness. On the palate, the malt, with a robust 52.3% vol., is full-bodied and complex; here, the sweetness of the Oloroso wine and a subtle oak spice merge into a long-lasting, balanced finish.
