Benromach is a Scottish whisky distillery located in Forres, in the Speyside region. Originally founded in 1898, it has closed and reopened several times. In 1993, the distillery was acquired by the independent bottling company Gordon & MacPhail and, after extensive renovations, reopened in 1998 – exactly 100 years after its original founding.

Benromach consciously relies on traditional production methods: small production batches, manual processes, and extremely slow distillation. The goal is to recreate the style of the old Speyside whisky – slightly smoky, balanced, and complex. A subtle peat smoke is typical of Benromach, which differs from the often very fruity Speyside whiskies of today. Benromach also matures its whiskies exclusively in first-fill casks to create a special quality and depth. All of this has made whisky lovers' hearts beat faster in recent years.
