Eight-year-old Whitlaw with a PX Sherry influence
This Scottish Single Malt from the Islands region combines dark fruit notes with a subtle smokiness. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2026 at the age of eight for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. The cask character is shaped by 1st Fill PX Sherry Butts, i.e., first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Bottled at 46.0% ABV, the Whitlaw is neither chill-filtered nor artificially colored. This bottling contains 0.7 liters and is offered in a tube.
Aromas and taste
- Nose: Raisins and dates are at the forefront, accompanied by gentle smoke and spicy accents.
- Palate: Caramel and distinct malt notes meet a dense, syrupy mouthfeel.
- Finish: Lingering sweetness, spice, and dried fruit notes define the finish.
