The Deveron 12 Years Old
The Deveron 12 Years Old is produced at the Macduff Distillery near the mouth of the River Deveron. The distillery began operation in 1960 and uses five small copper pot stills and horizontal condensers. This technical feature supports the light, fruity style for which The Deveron is known.
The single malt matures for twelve years in oak casks, developing a well-rounded aromatic profile of creamy vanilla, baked apple, and ripe fruits. Toasted grain and a fine, slightly maritime spice complement the fruit notes before the whisky finishes smoothly and with spice. Bottled at 40% ABV, The Deveron 12 Years Old combines the soft character of the distillery with more maturity and depth.
