The Deveron 10 Years
The Deveron 10 Years comes from the Macduff Distillery in northern Aberdeenshire. Founded in 1960, the distillery is located near the mouth of the River Deveron, just before it flows into the North Sea. Five small copper pot stills and unusual, horizontally arranged condensers are designed to produce a light and fruity distillery character.
For this bottling, the single malt matures for ten years in oak casks. Fresh green apple characterizes the aroma and is accompanied by soft toffee. Vanilla and creamy oak notes round off the profile. At 40% vol., The Deveron 10 Years is soft and approachable, with the fruity notes clearly in the foreground.
