Tamnavulin 10 Year Old Living Souls Ex-Chianti Wine Casks
The Living Souls Tamnavulin 10 Year Old transports the senses to the picturesque, golden hills of Tuscany. A five-year finishing period in ex-Chianti wine casks imparts elegant aromas of red fruits, cherry wine, and delicate rose to this single malt. Previously matured in classic Speyside casks, it combines a bright sweetness with fruity depth and finely structured oak notes. The result is a Mediterranean-inspired whisky whose long finish captures the essence of Tuscany in a glass.
The Tamnavulin distillery, founded in 1966 in the rural village of Tomnavoulin in Scotland, experienced a closure after almost three decades before reopening in 2007 following extensive renovations. This 10-year-old Tamnavulin, finished in Chianti casks, was bottled at 46% ABV – without chill filtration and without the addition of colorings, in order to preserve its natural quality.
