Strathisla with a two-year PX Sherry finish
This ten-year-old single malt from the Scottish Speyside belongs to the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. It was distilled at the Strathisla distillery on May 27, 2016, and bottled in 2026. The maturation in refill sherry butts was followed by a finish of more than two years in 1st Fill Pedro Ximénez Butts. For this bottling, casks number 22 and 23 were vatted together.
Dark fruit, cocoa, and oak spice
- Nose: Raisins, ripe plums, and dried figs define the scent. Vanilla and a touch of cinnamon complement the fruit aromas.
- Palate: A creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel accompanied by notes of fruit compote, cocoa, and subtle honey sweetness.
- Finish: Long-lasting sweet and dry impressions are accompanied by spicy oak notes.
No coloring and no chill filtration
This non-peated Strathisla is bottled at 46.0% ABV without chill filtration and without coloring. Its honey-colored hue is a result of the cask maturation. The 0.7-liter bottle comes in a tube.
