The St. Kilian X-Series represents bottlings that underscore the experimental nature of the distillery. For this exclusive edition, the single malt whisky PEATED – Rich & Smoky was aged for over 18 months in heavy stoneware casks. This unusual maturation step gives the smoky bottling from the core range a softer texture. The harmonious fruit notes come more to the fore, while the smoke is subtly reduced, and the fruity nuances appear more mature and balanced.
