St. Kilian Bonifatius Kiliani Edition
The Kiliani Edition "Bonifatius" is a limited bottling of 750 bottles from St. Kilian Distillers in Rüdenau. It is named after Saint Boniface and the legend of the Thor's Oak. The German single malt whisky is bottled at 46% ABV.
On the nose, it starts fruit-forward with apple, ripe banana, and sweet pear. Creamy vanilla combines with hints of toasted nuts and fine chocolate. On the palate, the whisky is soft and balanced. Fresh fruit and sweet vanilla are supported by a subtle oak spice that gives structure to the profile without overpowering the fruitiness. The short to medium finish picks up on the gentle wood influence again and ends cleanly with vanilla and a mild fruit sweetness.
An accessible, harmoniously composed special edition with clear fruit, soft vanilla, and restrained oak spice.
