The St. Kilian Signature Edition Sixteen is a tribute to the diversity and quality of Portuguese cask art.
Matured in carefully selected casks of fine fortified wines such as port, Madeira, and Moscatel de Setúbal, this German single malt impresses with its exceptional depth and elegance. Mediterranean flavors, inspired by the sun-drenched wine regions of Portugal, combine with the first-class whisky expertise from the idyllic Miltenberg district in Lower Franconia, Bavaria. The Sixteen was double distilled in traditional Scottish pot stills and matured for approximately seven years in a selection of ex-Tawny Port casks (500 l, 16%), ex-Ruby Port casks (225 l, 16%), ex-Madeira casks (225 l, 34%), and ex-Moscatel de Setúbal casks (225 l, 34%).
