St. Kilian Grave Digger 45 Years of Metal
To celebrate the 45th anniversary of German metal legend Grave Digger's stage debut, St. Kilian Distillers presents an extraordinary special bottling: a single malt whisky as uncompromising and full of character as the band itself.
This powerful single malt is distilled from heavily peated barley malt with an impressive 80 ppm phenol content. The whisky achieves its full expressiveness through four years of maturation in a single ex-Chianti red wine barrique made from French oak.
The result is a multi-layered composition that combines aromatically sweet peat smoke with an intense fruity interplay of ripe red grapes, juicy cherries, and peaches. On the palate, these aromas blend with delicate vanilla, warming oak spice, and a hint of ash to create a loud, complex, and harmonious overall experience. A whisky that sounds like a guitar solo at full volume.
