St.Kilian Exceptional Mizunara Soft Peated Single Malt Whiskey
Mizunara oak, found in various regions of Japan, is one of the rarest and most expensive woods used for whisky maturation. The wood for these casks comes from approximately 250-year-old oak trees harvested in the forests of the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido.
This special bottling is a single malt described as gently peated and matured entirely in a virgin Mizunara oak cask for approximately five years. The whisky was bottled at an alcohol content of 53.4 percent – without chill filtration and without the addition of colorings.
