Old Perth PX Limited Edition #2
Mit der Pedro Ximénez Limited Edition #2 führt Old Perth seine ausgeprägt sherrybetonte Stilistik konsequent fort. Für diesen Blended Malt Scotch Whisky wurden fünf ausgewählte Speyside Single Malts miteinander vermählt, die vollständig in First-Fill-Pedro-Ximénez-Sherry-Butts und -Hogsheads reiften. Es handelt sich somit nicht nur um ein Finish, sondern um eine vollständige PX-Sherryfassreifung. Abgefüllt wurde der Whisky mit 54,3 % Vol. in Fassstärke, ohne Farbstoff und ohne Kühlfiltration.
In der Nase zeigen sich saftige Datteln und überreife Trauben, begleitet von Ingwer, Zimt und der üppigen Süße der PX-Fässer. Am Gaumen entwickelt sich ein vollmundiges Zusammenspiel aus Sticky Toffee Pudding, dunkler Melasse und feiner Zimtwürze. Der lange, wärmende Abgang bleibt nussig, süß und würzig präsent und unterstreicht den kraftvollen Charakter dieser zweiten PX-Edition.
