This 12-year-old single malt matured exclusively in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead before being refined at natural cask strength by independent bottler "That Boutique-y Whisky Company". The Mortlach distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
On the palate, the full complexity of the PX cask emerges with notes of dark sherry, toasted wood, and a distinctive spice reminiscent of black pepper, before a malty-spicy finish with a hint of citrus kicks in. With only 324 bottles existing worldwide, this unfiltered and uncolored single malt represents a rare snapshot of artisanal distillation.
Aromatics
The bouquet boasts a liaison of ripe stone fruits, honey, and a delicate tropical nuance.
