The Macallan 18 Year Old Triple Cask Matured – 2018 Release is an outstanding single malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland, demonstrating the art of cask maturation at its finest. This bottling matured for over 18 years in a carefully balanced combination of European and American sherry casks, as well as American ex-bourbon casks. This triple cask maturation creates a complex and balanced flavor profile that presents the signature Macallan aromas in a new dimension.
Exotic notes of dried flowers, coconut, vanilla, and fresh orange zest unfold on the nose. On the palate, the whisky is soft and velvety with aromas of orange, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The finish is long-lasting with nuances of chocolate orange and a hint of wood smoke.
