The Macallan 12 Years 110° Proof verbindet zwölf Jahre Reife in Sherry seasoned European Oak Casks mit einer kräftigen Abfüllstärke von 110 Proof beziehungsweise 55 % vol. Der deutliche Einfluss der europäischen Eiche und die erhöhte Alkoholstärke verleihen diesem Speyside Single Malt einen intensiven, körperreichen Charakter.
In der Nase entfalten sich Datteln, Zimt und reichhaltige Eichenaromen. Am Gaumen treffen Ingwer und dunkle Früchte auf eine ausgeprägte würzige Wärme. Der Nachklang bleibt lang, warm, kraftvoll und würzig.
