Longrow 18 Years (2015 bottling)
Longrow , named after a long-vanished distillery in Campbeltown that once stood adjacent to Springbank and whose former warehouse now serves as our bottling hall, was first produced in 1973. It was originally intended to serve as a peaty, oily, and robust component for a blend developed at that time. With a higher peat content and double distillation, Longrow has been a staple of the production schedule since the 1990s.
This dram opens with aromas of sweet, barbecued pork and leather-bound books. An earthy note reflecting the peat influence is complemented by nuances of nectarine and a hint of menthol.
