18 Jahre gereifter Ledaig von der Insel Mull
Der rauchige Single Malt der Tobermory-Destillerie wurde am 3. Februar 2005 destilliert und nach 18 Jahren Reifung am 5. Juni 2023 abgefüllt. Er stammt aus dem Bourbonfass Barrel ASB #80 und gehört zur Reihe The Single Malts of Scotland. Das Einzelfass ergab 249 Flaschen mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 53,5% vol. Auf Kühlfiltration und die Zugabe von Farbstoff wurde verzichtet.
Rauch mit erdigen und herben Akzenten
- Nase: Feuchter Waldboden und Moos begleiten einen intensiven Holzrauch. Dazu kommen harzige Noten und Anklänge an geteerte Seile.
- Gaumen: Dunkle Schokolade und mineralische Würze ergänzen den würzigen Rauch. Eine dezente Süße von Harz trifft auf erdige Bittertöne.
- Nachklang: Lang anhaltend, mit Asche, Teer, geröstetem Kaffee und Lakritz.
Dieser stark rauchige Inselwhisky lässt sich pur oder mit einem Tropfen Wasser verkosten. Die 0,7-Liter-Flasche wird in einer Geschenkverpackung angeboten.
