Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 57.5%

Following the great success of the first Sanaig Cask Strength Edition in 2024, Kilchoman presents the second edition of the "Dark Batch" in 2026. This strictly limited Islay single malt follows the characteristic Sanaig cask recipe and is predominantly shaped by Oloroso sherry casks. Unlike the regular Sanaig, this edition is not reduced to 46.0% ABV, but is bottled at 57.5% ABV in natural cask strength without dilution.

On the nose, ripe dark fruits and sweet cinnamon notes combine with intense peat smoke. On the palate, the whisky is powerful and full-bodied, with cooked stone fruits, warm spices, and dark chocolate. The long-lasting finish combines the sherry-forward fruit sweetness with spicy, grill-smoke-reminiscent peat smoke.

As a strictly limited 2026 edition, the Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength continues the series started in 2024 and brings together the dominant Oloroso sherry influence in a concentrated form with the smoky character of the Islay distillery.
