With the Peatist Ex-Bourbon Cask, KAVALAN expands its peated Peatist series with a bottling that focuses on the cask character and distillate aromas. Matured in select American ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at cask strength, this whisky impressively demonstrates how subtly applied peat and the subtropical maturation of Taiwan harmonize. Made from peated barley and specially tailored to the region's climate, the Peatist Ex-Bourbon combines a gentle smokiness with elegant wood notes, creamy vanilla, and Kavalan's signature tropical fruit notes. The name Peatist represents Kavalan's approach to using peat as a defining element – innovative, distinctive, and outside the realm of classic conventions. As with the Solist series, the Peatist bottlings are always single casks bottled at cask strength.
