Highland Park 22 Years 2003/2026 Refill Sherry Butt Thompson Bros
This Highland Park was distilled on the Orkney Islands in 2003 and bottled by Thompson Bros. in March 2026, after 22 years of maturation. The single malt comes from a single refill sherry butt, which yielded 336 bottles at 55.9% ABV. The bottling is natural, neither colored nor chill-filtered.
In the glass, the fruity character of the distillate combines with mature sherry cask spice and the fine smoke for which Highland Park is known. Cocoa nibs, charred pineapple, and brandy butter lead to dark chocolate and juicy fruit notes. A gentle wisp of smoke holds the powerful aromas together and ensures a balanced, multi-layered overall impression.
