Glenrothes 31 years The Single Malts of Scotland

An impressively aged Glenrothes from the Single Malts of Scotland Marriage of Casks series, made from a combination of two casks - a Hogshead and a Sherry Butt - filled in 1989 and 1990 respectively. Aromas of blackcurrant jam, leather, raisins, sticky dates, maraschino cherries, malted bread and dark chocolate fill the nose, complemented by notes of plum compote, raisins, charcoal, glazed cherries, gentle oak spice, licorice, dark chocolate, ginger cake, crystallized ginger and sticky jam on the palate, persistent in the finish.
