Glenrothes 1988: Matured for 28 years in Oloroso sherry casks
This single malt whisky was distilled on December 16, 1988 and matured for a full 28 years in former Oloroso sherry casks made of American oak before being bottled at its natural cask strength in 2017.
Another exceptional vintage bottling from The Glenrothes, this time as the second edition of the 1988 vintage. For this creation, first-fill American sherry hogsheads were combined with refill sherry casks, giving the whisky its impressive depth and complexity.
