Glenrothes 20 Jahre 2005/2026 Oloroso Sherry Cask Thompson Bros

Dieser 20 Jahre alte Glenrothes wurde am 1. April 2005 destilliert und im Januar 2026 von Thompson Bros. abgefüllt. Seine gesamte Reifezeit verbrachte der Speyside Single Malt in einem einzelnen Oloroso Sherry Hogshead aus europäischer Eiche. Das Fass ergab lediglich 327 Flaschen, abgefüllt mit kräftigen 52,7 % Vol. in Fassstärke, ohne Farbstoff und ohne Kühlfiltrierung.

Das lange Sherryfass-Maturat zeigt sich dunkel, gehaltvoll und mit üppiger Textur. Muscovado-Zucker und Muskat treffen auf sehr reife Banane, würzige Spekulatiusnoten und Nelkenöl. Anklänge von Kräuterlikör sowie schmelzendem Rum-Rosinen-Eis ergänzen das intensive, süß-würzige Profil.
