Charakter und Herstellung
Ein Spiel aus dunklen Früchten und feiner Würze Mit einer beeindruckenden Fassstärke von 58,9 % Vol. präsentiert sich der Whisky unverkürzt und nicht kühlgefiltert im Glas. In der Nase entfalten sich sofort duftende Rosinenaromen, die von der feinen Schärfe des Ingwers und der Aromatik roter Äpfel begleitet werden. Wichtige Eckdaten: 12 Jahre, destilliert 2013, abgefüllt 2026, 58,9% Vol. Die Abfüllung stammt von Gordon & MacPhail.
Einordnung
Am Gaumen zeigt er seine volle Konzentration: Lebhafte Noten von gedünstetem Obst verschmelzen mit schwarzer Johannisbeerkonfitüre und einem dezenten Anklang von Kaffeebohnen, bevor ein langanhaltendes, würziges Finale mit Nuancen von Orangenschale den Geschmack abrundet.
