Charakter und Herstellung
Am Gaumen offenbart sich die Kraft der langen Reifezeit durch eine markante Würze von Ingwer und Eichenholz, die harmonisch von süßem Honig und spritziger Zitrone balanciert wird. Das Mundgefühl ist intensiv und unverfälscht, da auf Kühlfiltrierung und die Zugabe von Farbstoffen konsequent verzichtet wurde. Wichtige Eckdaten: 30 Jahre, destilliert 1995, abgefüllt 2025, 58,5% Vol. Die Abfüllung stammt von Signatory Vintage.
Einordnung
Aufgrund des hohen Alkoholgehalts empfiehlt es sich, dem Destillat im Glas Zeit zum Atmen zu geben oder vorsichtig mit wenigen Tropfen Wasser zu experimentieren, um die tiefer liegenden Aromen freizulegen.
