The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a single malt whisky from Dalmore, from the Highlands of Scotland.
The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a full-bodied Highland Single Malt with a distinct Port wine influence. It first matures in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels and is then finished in seasoned Tawny Port Pipes. This combines the rich Dalmore house style with fruity depth and elegant sweetness.
The aroma reveals red berries, Seville oranges, plum fruit, and sweet toffee notes. On the palate, nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts, and delicate coffee notes follow. The finish brings plums, sultanas, blood oranges, and pickled cherries. With 46.5% Vol., the Dalmore Port Wood Reserve appears robust, round, and pleasantly rich.
