Chartreuse Liqueur of the 9th Centenary
The 9th Century Chartreuse Liqueur is an exquisite product made by the Carthusian monks in the traditional abbey of La Grande Chartreuse in the French Alps. This special cuvée was first created in 1984 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the Carthusian Order. which was founded in 1084 by Saint Bruno.
The production of this liqueur is the result of a careful selection process in which different liqueurs with different maturation profiles are harmoniously combined. The monks, who are known for their centuries-old tradition of herbalism and botany, use over 130 different plants and herbs, which are combined in secret recipes These botanical ingredients give the liqueur a remarkable depth and complexity.
With its impressive aroma, the Chartreuse Liqueur of the 9th century impresses with a perfect balance between the powerful vegetal presence and the delicate floral note. The colors of the liqueur vary depending on the maturation and offer a visual feast for the senses. The taste nuances range from sweet, fruity accents to spicy and earthy tones that take the connoisseur on a taste journey.
