Domaines Ott* embodies a passion for wine and the impressive history of a family. In 1896, Marcel Ott, an Alsatian agricultural engineer, fulfilled his dream and settled on the Mediterranean coast. His particular focus was on creating an exceptional rosé wine, Coeur de Grain, considered one of the finest rosé wines in the world. A unique bottle was specially designed for this iconic wine.
In 2004, the company merged with the Champagne house Louis Roederer. Since 2009, cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott, representing the fourth generation, have managed the three Domaines Ott* wineries in Provence. These are located in the Côtes de Provence and Bandol appellations: Château de Selle in Taradeau, Clos Mireille in La Londe-les-Maures, and Château Romassan in Le Castellet. With great dedication, they continue the tradition of gentle and sustainable winemaking established by their ancestors, combining it with cultivation methods inspired by biodynamic principles.
Domaines Ott* received special recognition in 2022 when the renowned US magazine Wine Enthusiast The winery was awarded the "European Winery of the Year" prize. It was the first time this prestigious award had been given to a rosé producer.
