Der Bunnahabhain 12 Jahre Cask Strength Edition ist ein Single Malt Scotch Whisky von Bunnahabhain aus Islay in Schottland.
Beschreibung
Der Bunnahabhain 12 Jahre Cask Strength Edition 2026 zeigt den überwiegend ungetorften Islay-Stil der Brennerei in besonders ursprünglicher Form. Die limitierte Small-Batch-Abfüllung kommt ohne Verdünnung mit kräftigen 55,8 % vol. in die Flasche. Für diese Edition wurden zu gleichen Teilen First-Fill-Oloroso-Sherryfässer und Bourbonfässer miteinander vermählt. Der Oloroso-Anteil sorgt für dunkle Frucht und weiche Gewürznoten, während die Bourbonfässer eine hellere Süße mit Vanille, Honig und gerösteter Kokosnuss beisteuern.
In der Nase verbinden sich Rosinen, Feigen und Datteln mit Honigvanille, Zimt und Nelken. Eine dezente maritime Frische erinnert an die Küstenlage der Brennerei. Am Gaumen treffen geschmorte Früchte und wärmende Gewürze auf cremige Vanille und geröstete Kokosnuss. Der lange, vielschichtige Abgang lässt Trockenfrüchte und Gewürze langsam in dunklen Zucker und fein polierte Holztöne übergehen.
Wie bei Bunnahabhain üblich, wird auch diese Edition in natürlicher Farbe und ohne Kühlfiltrierung abgefüllt. Die Kombination aus Sherryfülle, Bourbonsüße und salziger Küstenfrische macht die 2026er Ausgabe zu einer eigenständigen Interpretation des bekannten zwölfjährigen Bunnahabhain.
