Bowmore 25 Years Small Batch Release
The Bowmore 25 Years Old Small Batch Release comes from the town of Bowmore, known as the capital of the Scottish island of Islay.
A portion of the malt used is malted directly at the distillery, using a precisely calibrated amount of peat. The water for production comes from the Laggan River, which has flowed from the hills of Islay for thousands of years, carrying with it the typical Islay peat. This peat is also used as fuel for drying the malt.
The Bowmore distillery operates four stills, two for each distillation. The 25-year-old Bowmore Small Batch matures for decades in carefully selected casks, where peat, water, wood, and tradition combine to shape its elegant, smoky, and complex flavor.
