Bladnoch 16 Year Old The Galloway Collection
With lush fruit notes, chocolate, and spicy accents, this single malt from Bladnoch displays an intense character. It owes its aromatic profile to exclusive maturation in Oloroso sherry casks, which Master Distiller Dr. Nick Savage specifically selected for this release of the Galloway Collection.
On the nose, dark chocolate and orange peel meet raisins and sultanas. Fine wood spices complement the fruity interplay. On the palate, the whisky is reminiscent of rich fruitcake with dried fruits; sweet cinnamon and chocolate accompany the flavor. The full-bodied finish is long-lasting and concludes with a slightly dry note.
At the 2025 World Whiskies Awards, the Bladnoch 16 Year Old received Gold and was named the best Lowland Single Malt in its age category.
