Mit „Richard“ setzt die Londoner Bimber Distillery ihre Reihe „Shoulders of Giants“ fort. Die exklusiv für den deutschen Markt geschaffene Edition würdigt bedeutende Persönlichkeiten, deren Ideen und Werke weit über ihre eigene Zeit hinausgewirkt haben. Diese Abfüllung ist Richard Wagner gewidmet, der die Welt der Oper mit seinen komplexen Harmonien und seiner kraftvollen musikalischen Erzählweise nachhaltig prägte.
Passend zu diesem ausdrucksstarken Thema erhielt der englische Single Malt eine zusätzliche Reifung in einem einzelnen Pedro-Ximénez-Sherryfass. Abgefüllt wurde das Single Cask #855/63 im Jahr 2026 mit kräftigen 58,7 % Vol. – ohne Farbstoff und ohne Kühlfiltrierung.
So verbindet „Richard“ die handwerkliche Whiskyproduktion der Bimber Distillery mit dem besonderen Einfluss eines einzelnen PX-Sherryfasses. Eine limitierte Originalabfüllung aus London und ein eigenständiger Bestandteil der musikalisch inspirierten „Shoulders of Giants“-Serie.
