The rough sea and the rugged cliffs – the whisky island of Islay reveals its familiar, stormy side. Right here, amidst this wild beauty, we encounter something entirely new: two companions who have remained hidden until now. A unique Islay pairing, matured in sherry quarter casks. Together with the Islay distillery Ardnahoe, we present a world premiere: the very first quarter cask sherry cask maturations – “Ardnahoe Càraid Ìleach”.
“Ardnahoe Càraid Ìleach” is a limited-edition sherry pair released in two exclusive editions:
- Edition No. 1 : 100% Oloroso Quarter Cask
- Edition No. 2 : 100% PX Quarter Cask
“Càraid Ìleach” (pronounced: Car – ich Ee – luch) is Scottish Gaelic and means “the Islay pair.” Under this name, the limited releases represent a true world first: Sherry Quarter Cask expressions matured exclusively in Sherry Quarter casks. This rarity is particularly special because full cask maturations in the smaller quarter casks are extremely rare.
This is Edition No. 2 from the PX Quarter Cask.
