Acht Jahre gereifter Bourbon aus Fass #3017
Der Willett Family Estate stammt aus Bardstown in Kentucky. Dieser achtjährige Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey wurde aus dem einzelnen Fass #3017 mit 64,3% Vol. in Fassstärke abgefüllt. Die Reifung erfolgte in weißer Eiche. Auf Kühlfiltration und den Zusatz von Farbstoff wurde verzichtet; im Glas zeigt sich ein tiefer Mahagoniton.
Das Aromaprofil
- Duft: Vanille und Karamell prägen den Auftakt. Dazu kommen Sahnebonbonnoten und eine leichte Toffee-Würze.
- Geschmack: Ein voller Körper trägt die Süße und wird von zurückhaltenden Gewürznoten begleitet. Rauch gehört nicht zum Profil.
- Nachklang: Mittellang, mit zunehmend trockener Eiche und feinen Röstaromen.
Ein wenig Wasser bietet sich an, um die Aromen dieser kräftigen Fassstärke bei der Verkostung zu erkunden.
