Mac-Talla Friends of Feis 2026 Cognac Limited Edition
Mit der Friends of the Fèis 2026 Limited Edition widmet Mac-Talla dem 40-jährigen Jubiläum des Fèis Ìle eine besondere Cognacfass-Abfüllung. Der leicht getorfte Single Malt stammt aus einer nicht genannten Islay-Brennerei und reifte zunächst in First-Fill-Bourbonfässern. Anschließend erhielt er ein zweijähriges Finish in sechs 225-Liter-Cognacfässern. Nach dem Vermählen durfte der Whisky einen weiteren Monat ruhen, bevor er mit kräftigen 52,4 % Vol. in Fassstärke sowie ohne Farbstoff und Kühlfiltration abgefüllt wurde.
Im Duft verbindet sich süßes Mandelcroissant mit feinem Gebäck, reifem Kernobst und einer dezenten maritimen Frische. Am Gaumen folgen frisch gebackene Teigwaren, pochierte Birnen, warme Ananas und geröstete Kokosnuss, elegant eingebettet in den typischen Islay-Rauch. Sanfter Torfrauch und winterliche Gewürze prägen den ausgewogenen, zunehmend trockenen und angenehm anhaltenden Abgang.
