The House of Rémi Landier preserves centuries-old knowledge originating with the Benedictine monks of the Royal Abbey of Bassac. Since 1973, the Rémi Landier brand has stood for elegant, delicate, yet powerful cognacs that delight both connoisseurs and newcomers. Our discovery for Journal des Kirsch No. 8 takes us back to the brand's early years.
Rémi Landier L72-73 is a blend of two Fins Bois Cognacs from the 1972 and 1973 vintages. These were initially aged separately in 450-liter Allier and Limousin oak casks until 1986. They were then blended and further aged in a dry cellar. In 2012, the resulting blend was transferred to glass demijohns to impart the characteristic "old bottle" flavor to the Cognac . The result is an exceptional spirit that impressively reflects the tradition and craftsmanship of the House of Rémi Landier.
