Zwölf Jahre Reifung mit Rivesaltes-Finish
Dieser Mortlach aus der schottischen Speyside verbindet eine Reifung in Refill Hogsheads mit einem mehr als zweijährigen Finish in 1st Fill Rivesaltes Wine Hogsheads. Für die Abfüllung wurden fünf dieser Fässer zusammengeführt. Der südfranzösische Likörwein prägt das fruchtbetonte Profil des Whiskys.
Am 18. November 2013 destilliert und im Juni 2026 abgefüllt, gehört der zwölfjährige Whisky zur Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Er kommt mit 46,0% vol. ohne Kühlfiltrierung und ohne Farbstoff in die Flasche.
Frucht, Schokolade und trockene Würze
- Farbe: Sattes Ocker.
- Duft: Honig und getrocknete Aprikosen treffen auf reife Pflaumen. Zimt und ein Hauch Ingwer ergänzen die Fruchtaromen.
- Gaumen: Die cremige Textur trägt Noten von dunkler Schokolade und Kirschmarmelade, dazu kommt eine dezente salzige Nuance.
- Nachklang: Langanhaltend und trocken, mit weißem Pfeffer und leichter Eichenbittere.
Genussempfehlung
Der nicht rauchige Mortlach lässt sich pur oder mit etwas stillem Wasser genießen. Die 0,7-Liter-Flasche wird in einer Tube geliefert.
