Ten Years of Maturation in PX Sherry Cask
This Mortlach from the Scottish Speyside combines ten years of maturation with the influence of a First Fill Pedro Ximénez Butt. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026, this single malt is part of the 100 Proof series. It presents itself at 57.1% vol., without chill-filtration and without added coloring.
Dried Fruit, Chocolate and Oak Spice
The honey-colored, non-peated whisky offers a spectrum of aromas from sweet dried fruits to strong spice notes.
- Nose: Raisins and figs dominate the scent, complemented by cocoa and a hint of caramel.
- Palate: A full body carries dark chocolate and spicy accents of cinnamon and pepper.
- Finish: Long-lasting with pronounced oak spice.
Those who appreciate intense sherry notes will find a uniquely characterized Mortlach here. A few drops of water offer the possibility to explore its aromas at a lower drinking strength.
