It is the precise interplay between the elegance of a Speyside distillery and the intense refinement in Spanish oak that makes this single malt a discovery for demanding palates. Dark fruit and maritime spice In the glass, the whisky presents itself in a rich amber tone and exudes a dense bouquet of raisins, fig compote and dark syrup. The Mannochmore distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
The art of secondary maturation in a PX Hogshead The spirit, distilled in February 2013, matured for over twelve years, receiving its final character from a 14-month finish in a First Fill PX Hogshead. With a limited edition of only 284 bottles and a cask strength bottling of 52.7% Vol., the unadulterated character of this single cask is preserved in its purest form.
Aroma
On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied, oily texture, supported by a distinctive date sweetness and chocolate fondant, while toasted oak and a fine peppery spice provide complexity in the background.
