The Macallan 12 Years 110° Proof combines twelve years of maturation in sherry-seasoned European oak casks with a robust bottling strength of 110 proof, or 55% ABV. The pronounced influence of the European oak and the higher alcohol content give this Speyside single malt an intense, full-bodied character.
The nose reveals dates, cinnamon, and rich oak aromas. On the palate, ginger and dark fruit meet a pronounced spicy warmth. The finish is long, warm, powerful, and spicy.
