Four sherry cask types shape the Nectere
Lindores Abbey Nectere is a single malt from Fife in the Scottish Lowlands. Its cask profile combines Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, and Palo Cortado. This combination creates an interplay of fruity sweetness, nutty aromas, and dry spice.
Aromas and taste
- Nose: Raisins and molasses meet creamy vanilla.
- Palate: Dark fruits, nutty macaroons, and pecans define the full-bodied, velvety impression.
- Finish: Long-lasting, spicy, and dry.
The non-peated whisky is bottled at 47.2% ABV without chill filtration and without artificial coloring. It displays a rust-brown color in the glass. It is best enjoyed neat; a splash of water allows you to further explore the influence of the sherry casks.
